Great Quotes Pt. 7: Lazy People
“[…] people are lazy and a better product should be one that allows you to be more lazy, not less.
“[…] people are lazy and a better product should be one that allows you to be more lazy, not less. […] at the end, products need to be having some magic to them and the magic comes from letting you be more lazy.” - Aravind Srinivas
Here is a quote to guide you through decision-making and the vast data & AI space from people way smarter than me:
I’ve been in product management for quite some years now, but I once detoured into product evangelism.
Product evangelism is, at its core, the idea that you can change people's behavior and beliefs so that they are more open to your product.
That’s very close to the historical meaning of evangelism.
But I learned that tons of companies & people use evangelism as a crutch. As a crutch to support a crappy product. Evangelism is easy if your product is good. If your product is good, it supports laziness and needs very little to get people to believe in it.
The same goes for many of the problems we solve. You can build a great solution or hope to change the situation.
Lean towards building more great things.
