To most people that can be scary. What if they do something wrong? But that’s kind of like comparing a drone to a helicopter.
Think about it, what’s harder to build, to get right? The autonomous drone or the helicopter? The stakes certainly are higher with the helicopter. And it’s a much more complex machine.
The very nature of AI systems is different, if we align with that different nature, making them autonomous might not actually be that bad or risky. It might just be useful.
